The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s is an all-time classic. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, this guitar pays homage to the iconic 1950s era Les Pauls with exceptional accuracy, capturing the essence of that time. Crafted with a mahogany body, maple cap with AAA veneer on a figured top, and a bound 50s shaped mahogany neck with a long neck tenon, it plays (and looks!) exactly like a vintage Les Paul. Indeed, the smooth laurel fingerboard is shaped with rolled edges for an extremely comfortable feel - expect fluid rhythm and lead work up and down the neck.
But more importantly - the sounds! Classic LP's are coveted for their PAF (Pattern Applied For) tones, and the critically acclaimed Epiphone ProBucker pickups loaded on the Standard 50s deliver the warm and dynamic sonics that purists adore. Wired with CTS pots, you can expect maximum responsiveness when rolling off your volume or shaping your sound. Other premium appointments include an original Kalamazoo headstock shape, Graph Tech NuBone nut, vintage deluxe tuners and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers for a touch of Gibson elegance. Unlike most Les Paul models, however, this Standard 50s variant features one extra twist - a Bigsby tailpiece. Whilst a rare addition, this vibrato gives you smooth vintage pitch bends for even more expressive playing.
